Posle azuriranja kernela (kernel 2.6.28-13-generic ) u Linux Mint-u(Gloria) nakon restart ne mogu da udjem u OS.
Grub mi stalno izbacuje poruku "grub error 11  unrecognized device string". Posto koristim dual boot sistem ( na 1. HDD-u mi je windoza a na drugom Mint ) jedino sto mogu je da butujem windows.
Probao sam pomocu super grub diska da resim problem ali nije pomoglo  Cry.
Inace grub je instaliran na (hd1,0).

Evo sa malo zakasnjenja i menu.lst fajla.
Malo sam gledao po forumima i cini mi se da je problem Universally Unique Identifier (UUID).

Koliko je meni poznato, grub ne podržava određivanje root uređaja preko UUID-a, već nazivi uređaja moraju biti kao što je opisano u dokumentaciji:

http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/html_node/Naming-convention.html#Naming-convention

Ovo se znači odnosi samo na grubovu "root" komandu/red, dok je opcija "root=UUID=..." sasvim prihvatljiva kao deo "kernel" komande/reda.

Dakle,

treba da zameniš sa

Mada sada posle malo guglanja nađoh i da krpljena verzija gruba u Ubuntuu (i Mintu dakle) podržava određivanje pokretačke particije preko UUID-a, ali komandom "uuid", a ne "root", npr.:

Sta da kazem osim da se javljam sa slikom mentola nu ekranu ( nadam se da ne zvuci tako lose kao sto pise  Cheesy ).
Elem, problem je resen. Naime morao sam da upotrebim krpljacinu ( kako rece kmilos ) i naveo na kojoj je particiji root  ( u mom slucaju (hd1,0) ) .
Takodje sam morao da izmenim i odakle ze pokrece kernel ( /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.28-13-generic root=/dev/sdb1 ro quiet splash  ).

Evo kako sada izgleda menu.lst :

Bolje bi uradio da si ubacio uuid umesto root,jer ako budes nesto radio sa hardom(pravio nove particije) moze da se desi da nemozes da podignes sistem bez prepravljanja menu.lst-a.
Ali izgleda da ti to vise ne predstavlja problem.  Afro
